This single-player action game is the follow-up to the Piranha Game’s MechWarrior Online game. In this action game, the player is responsible for a mercenary operation along the Inner Sphere, the immediate region of space surrounding the earth. The operation involves melting robots as part of the first MechWarrior campaign conducted in fifteen years. Developed using Unreal Engine 4, players have the option to choose their own type of home, fully customize their mechs for battles, and travel to any location.

This odd looking action-based RPG combines the ancient martial arts technique of Wushu with gun-fu and various anthropomorphic animals to overcome, all in the name of protecting a mystical country. The player’s ability to craft weapons and infuse their character with robotic limbs or psychic mutations promises to have those bashing heads in a unique, and quite enjoyable, manner.
Release date is to be announced by developer Kojima Productions – link
The combination of Hideo Kojima and obtuse paramilitary strategies can be compared to peanut butter and jelly. The first two trailers of this game indicate a nude Norman Reedus and Guillermo Del Toro holding a jar with a fetus inside, then Mads Mikkelsen patrols the sewer with a bunch of skeleton-faced soldiers. The final trailer, if the other two weren’t horrifying enough, presents with terrible nightmare sequences full of shadow monsters towering above the player alongside a cheerful infant. How does this come together? Kojima has revealed very little except to state that Death Stranding is an action game interested in the mechanics of death.
4. Crackdown 3
Released in 2018 by Cloudgine, Sumo Digital, and Reagent Games – link
Jump like the Incredible Hulk along futuristic metropolis buildings and live out all of your super-cop fantasies by systematically taking down the full network of kingpins and crime lords. This multi-player competitive action game allows for skyscraper smashing, as well as cloud computing skills; however, the player will need to accept a more restrained action play if operating in the single-player or offline mode.
5. Code Vein
Released in 2018 by Bandai Namco – link
‘Anime Dark Souls’ is the pigeonhole for Code Vein. In this action game, the player will battle giant demons a shattering, interconnected world. Needless to say, there is a vampire-based undertone with the game inviting players to give into a bloodlust entirely risking becoming one of the fiendish ghouls devoid of any shred of humanity. Um, yes please?
Released in early 2018 by Iron Galaxy Studios – link
Drawing on early Attack on Titan designs, the game Extinction tosses the player into a world filled with creatures who are intent on destroying the human race. As the world’s final defender, the player is required to climb heights and jump to reach their enemies weak points. This could see one severing limbs and damaging the rival, but you need to move fast before each destructible setting is laid to waste completely.
Released in 2018 by One More Level – link
Judy and Harry, demon and angel, are not the couple one would expect to find partnering up to stop to four horseman of the apocalypse; however, this is how it goes in God’s Trigger. The action game is a fast and violent one where quick trigger finger reactions are required to take down mounds of supernatural rivals. The player can act as one of the primary characters, but we have found that an experience of God’s Trigger is often better working alongside another player.
